Flavorful & Moist

This homemade Orange Cake is bursting with the flavor of fresh oranges. A combination of orange zest and orange juice make this cake extra moist and flavorful.

Key Ingredients

-Butter & oil (for flavor and moisture) -Buttermilk  -Orange zest (LOTS of it) -Orange juice -Orange syrup (two ingredients) -Vanilla extract

Step One


Beat butter, oil, sugar, and orange zest until light and fluffy.

Step Two


Add eggs and vanilla extract, beating until combined.

Step Three


Add dry ingredients (flour, leaveners, salt) alternating with:

Wet ingredients (buttermilk and orange juice).  Spread batter into pan and bake!

Once the cake has baked, spoon over a syrup made from sugar and orange juice.

Drizzle with orange-vanilla icing.
