Ingredients

  • 4 oz block cream cheese (full fat) softened
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ cup plus 2 tablespoons chilled heavy cream
  • ¼ teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Using a hand mixer or stand mixer (preferred) fitted with the whisk attachment, beat cream cheese until smooth. Slowly add powdered sugar, beating until smooth and combined. With the mixer running on medium-low, slowly pour the cream into the bowl. Add the vanilla and increase the speed to high and whip for about one minute, until thickened slightly. Transfer to the refrigerator to chill for at least 4 hours.
  • To serve: Top the dip with any of the toppings suggested below and serve with fruit or cookies for dipping.

Notes

Toppings:
  • Fresh berries: Combine ½ cup of fresh berries with 1 tablespoon of berry jam. If using larger berries, chop them. Spoon the berries and jam over the dip right before serving
  • Blueberry sauce (a half recipe will be more than enough)
  • Store bought pie filling/cheesecake topping
  • Chocolate sauce and mini chocolate chips
  • Caramel sauce and toffee bits
  • Graham cracker crumbs
This dip is on the thinner side. The texture is similar to yogurt or softly whipped cream. This makes it easier for dipping delicate things like cookies.
