Why I love this recipe
Ease: This recipe only requires a few minutes of hands on time, and it’s so easy!
Flavor: Juicy peaches paired with maple, cinnamon, and vanilla.
Healthy(ish): This recipe is naturally sweetened, with no refined sugar or flour.
Only 5 ingredients: Peaches, butter, maple syrup, cinnamon, and vanilla.
Several serving options: These baked peaches can be served for breakfast or dessert. See below for all the ways you can serve them.
Ingredients needed (and ingredient swaps)
Peaches: Your peaches should be ripe but firm. You can swap the peaches for nectarines or a combination of stone fruits.
Butter: You need one tablespoon of melted butter. This can be swapped for coconut oil or light olive oil or you can even skip the butter/oil completely.
Maple syrup: Use pure maple syrup or swap for an equal amount of honey.
Cinnamon: Use ground cinnamon or swap for apple pie spice or pumpkin pie spice.
Vanilla: Use vanilla extract or vanilla bean paste.
Recipe overview
*Full recipe below in recipe card*
- Wash and slice four peaches. No need to peel them.
- Combine butter, syrup, cinnamon, and vanilla.
- Toss the peaches with the syrup mixture.
- Bake the peaches in a 350°F oven for about 25 minutes.
Tips: baking with peaches
Choose peaches that are ripe but still firm.
Slice your peaches into fairly thick slices. If they’re too thin they will fall apart while baking.
Adjust the bake time based on how ripe your peaches are. While baking they should hold their shape yet soften or slump a bit.
Serving suggestions
These baked peaches are best served warm. Although you can enjoy them on their own, here are some additional ideas for serving:
Breakfast: Spoon over oatmeal, yogurt, pancakes, waffles, or French Toast.
Dessert: Serve with vanilla and ice cream and crushed Biscoff cookies (pictured). Spoon over cheesecake, pound cake, or angel food cake.

Recipe
Easy Baked Peaches
Ingredients
- 4 medium-large fresh peaches, ripe but slightly firm
- 1 tablespoon salted butter
- 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¾ teaspoon vanilla bean paste or ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Slice your peaches (not too thin) and place them in a baking dish. I used a 9.5-inch round baking dish. An 8×8 or 9×9 will also work.
- Combine melted butter, syrup, cinnamon, and vanilla. Pour over the peaches and stir gently to combine.
- Bake for 20-30 minutes, until the juices are bubbling and the peaches have softened but are still holding their shape. Cool at room temperature for about 15 minutes, this allows the juices to thicken a bit. Serve warm.
