Coffee Smoothie – A healthy protein-packed smoothie filled with the flavors of coffee and vanilla.
Hello there! Today I’m bringing you a recipe for a protein-packed smoothie that tastes like a vanilla latte (yum!).
Coffee Smoothie
This smoothie is my new favorite! It is thick and creamy and filled with the flavors of coffee and vanilla.
The coffee flavor comes from espresso powder and coffee yogurt. The vanilla flavor comes from vanilla almond milk, vanilla protein powder, and a touch of vanilla extract.
This coffee smoothie provides just the right amount of caffeine to get you going in the morning or to get you through your afternoon slump. Plus, the protein will keep you full and satisfied for hours.

This looks like a way better option than any mocha-frappa-monstrosity from You Know Where. Also, I had no idea there was such a thing as coffee yogurt! I will definitely have to look for that.
Celebrating Sweets
Yes, coffee yogurt is a thing – get yourself some, you’ll love it! 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!

Such a better option than the typical latte, love that it’s a smoothie and coffee drink in one!

What brand of Vanilla protein is good? I’m not having any luck in finding a good one.
Celebrating Sweets
Hi Sandy. I use whey protein powder from Whole Foods (365 brand) or RAW Organic Protein Powder. Best of luck finding one that you like. I usually buy individual/single use packets until I find a brand that I enjoy.

Andrew Lessman has really good protein drinks. He has a coffee flavor that I really like. I order from HSN, but he has a website also.
Phyllis
This looks delicious. Do you know how many calories are in each serving?
Celebrating Sweets
Hi Phyllis. I calculated approximately 184 calories per serving not including the protein powder (that calorie count will vary by brand) or any additional sweetener.
Holly
Any suggestions instead of banana? I’ve tried so hard to like the banana taste and it fails every time! 🙁
Celebrating Sweets
Hi, Holly! The banana is not necessary, I just like the creaminess that it adds. You can leave it out and add a little ice to help thicken it.
Amanda
I made this this evening to have for a morning munchie, we did not have coffee flavored yogurt. So I just used vanilla yogurt. I’m sure that will be fine if I do everything else the same I’m assuming?
Celebrating Sweets
Yes! It will be fine.

That smoothie looks amazing! Definitely more appealing than a regular latte. Great idea!

Smoothies are one of my favorite ways to start the day. Along with coffee. So I’m happy to see a smoothie which puts both of my morning routines right into one tasty drink. Thanks!
