Recipe overview
Gather the following ingredients:
- Half and half (or milk or cream)
- Maple syrup
- Pumpkin puree
- Pumpkin pie spice
- Vanilla extract (or vanilla extract substitutes)
Place the ingredients in a small saucepan. Heat, whisking occasionally, until fully combined. Use immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to one week.
Why you’ll love this recipe
Ease – It comes together in about 5 minutes with minimal effort.
Flavor – Sweet, creamy, and filled with the flavors of pumpkin spice, pumpkin, and vanilla.
Refined sugar free – This creamer is sweetened with pure maple syrup, making it refined sugar free.
All-natural ingredients – No artificial flavors or colors. This creamer is filled with real all-natural ingredients.
Ingredient subsitutions
One of the perks of making creamer at home is that you can make it just the way you want it. Here are some ingredient swaps that you can easily make:
Half and half: Swap 1:1 for milk, cream, or plant-based milk.
Maple syrup: Swap 1:1 for brown sugar or granulated sugar. You can also use honey but the flavor will be quite strong. If you choose to use a sugar substitute (such as Stevia) you will need much less. I recommend adding a little (maybe 1 teaspoon), tasting it, and going from there.
Pumpkin pie spice: Swap 1:1 for ground cinnamon, or use ¾ teaspoon cinnamon + ⅛ teaspoon nutmeg + ⅛ teaspoon ground ginger.
Storage
Store this creamer in the refrigerator for up to one week. I like to store it in a mason jar so that I can shake it up before using it. The pumpkin and spices will settle, so just give it a quick shake or stir before adding it to your coffee.

This sounds delicious!! Would this work with Almond or Oat Milk?
Allison
That should be fine. If it’s sweetened you might need less maple syrup. Just adjust to suit your taste.
Abi
Delicious. I used coconut milk and vanilla almond milk instead of the half and half. I’m so happy that it still turned out amazing.
Thanks for the great recipe.
Allison
You’re welcome!

Thank you! I love a warm sweet spice flavor to my coffee as a treat once in a while. I’m going to try freezing this and see if it works, since I won’t be able to finish it quickly.

I can’t wait to try this recipe. I have everything except the vanilla extract, is there anything I can use other then the vanilla?
Thank you:)
Allison
Hi! You can just leave it out. Enjoy!

I halved the 1/2&1/2 and used a fat free version to watch calories. But I used the listed measurements for everything else…I like it punchy! Thanks!

Yummy
Short ingredient list and quick to make. I decided to make this even though I didn’t have all of the ingredients.
I made a double batch, And substituted raw unfiltered honey, 2 tbsp. for the maple syrup.
Other ingredients: Almond milk, fresh pure pumpkin filling, and cinnamon. Next time I will add nutmeg. Thank you.

You’re welcome! I’m glad you enjoyed it. 🙂

Can this be frozen and thawed for future use?
Allison
I wouldn’t recommend freezing it. You can half the recipe if you need a smaller portion:
1/2 cup half and half
1 T pumpkin puree
1-2 T maple syrup
1/8 t pumpkin pie spice
1/8 t vanilla
Enjoy!
