Hydration just got delicious! Meet my new favorite way to drink water!
What is Agua Fresca?
Agua Fresca is fruit flavored water. Fresh fruit (and a bit of sweetener) is blended with water to create a refreshing drink that is flavorful and delicious. Think of it as a combination of fruit-infused water and a smoothie – it falls somewhere in between the two.
Agua Fresca an be made with any flavor of fruit: berries, watermelon, pineapple, cantaloupe, etc.
For this Berry Agua Fresca, you’ll need the following ingredients:
- Lemon Juice
Puree the ingredients in a blender, strain out the solids and you’re left with a healthy and beautiful berry-flavored water. You can mix up this recipe with any berries you choose. You can also make it more sweet or more tart by adjusting the honey and lemon juice.

Berry Agua Fresca
- 4 cups (total) strawberries, blackberries and blueberries, I chop the strawberries before measuring
- 4 cups Purified Water
- 1 tablespoon honey, or more to taste
- 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice, or more to taste
- Place berries, 3 cups of water, honey and lemon juice in a blender, and process until smooth. Taste and add more honey and lemon, if desired. Stir in remaining 1 cup of water. Set a fine mesh strainer over a large bowl and pour the mixture through. Use a rubber spatula to lightly press on the solids. Discard the seeds. Refrigerate or serve immediately. I like to serve over ice, garnished with fresh berries, mint and/or lemon slices.
