This easy s’mores dip is made in your oven, in under 10 minutes, with only 3 ingredients! Creamy melted chocolate topped and toasted marshmallows served with graham crackers, crisp cookies, or fruit for dipping.
This s’mores dip is perfect because it gives all the flavors of s’mores without the campfire. If you’re a fan of indoor s’mores, try my s’mores milkshakes, s’mores bars, and s’mores cookies, too.

What sets this recipe apart
No campfire needed: No need to roast marshmallows over a campfire or fire pit. A few seconds under the broiler gives the marshmallows a crisp, caramelized exterior and a soft, gooey center.
Quick and easy: Desserts don’t get much easier than this. With just 3 ingredients (plus your favorite dippers) and a few simple steps, it’s ready in no time.
Get creative: The dipping options are endless! Crisp chocolate chip cookies (like Tate’s!), graham crackers, fresh fruit, and pretzels are some of my favorites.

Melt chocolate
Melt chocolate chips and milk in the microwave until smooth and combined. Transfer to a baking/serving dish.

Add marshmallows
Top the melted chocolate with marshmallows.

Broil
Broil until the marshmallows are golden brown. This happens very quickly!
Dippers for s’mores dip
A great thing about this recipe is that you can dip anything you want in it! You’re no longer limited to traditional square graham cracker because we are dipping, not building a sandwich.
- Crispy chocolate chip cookies (like Tate’s)
- Graham crackers
- Shortbread or sugar cookies
- Strawberries or bananas
- Pretzels
- Ritz crackers

My recipe testing tips and notes
Melting chocolate: Slowly melt the chocolate and milk in the microwave. Microwave it in 20 second increments stirring well between each. About 40-60 seconds is all you’ll need.
Milk: Adding milk to the chocolate chips gives the chocolate a slightly thinner consistency, making it perfect for dipping. Using only melted chocolate (no milk) it is too thick.
Marshmallows: Use large marshmallows and halve them. This ensures a nice chocolate to marshmallow ratio when dipping.
Watch closely: When toasting the marshmallows under the broiler watch them the whole time. They will brown in seconds.
No broiler: Don’t have a broiler? You can also toast the marshmallows with a kitchen torch. Use a back and forth movement with the torch and don’t hold it in one place too long.

Recipe

Easy Oven S’mores Dip
Ingredients
- 1 ¼ cups semisweet chocolate chips
- ¼ cup milk
- 15-20 marshmallows, halved through the center
- graham crackers, crisp cookies, fruit, for dipping
Instructions
- Place a rack in the upper half of your oven (at least 5 inches from the broiler).
- In a large microwave safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and milk. Heat in 15 second intervals for a total of one minute, stirring well between each interval. If the chocolate is not melted, heat in 10-second intervals, stirring really well, until melted and smooth. The key is to heat the chocolate very slowly so that it does not overheat. Pour the melted chocolate into an oven safe skillet or casserole dish (I used an 8-inch cast iron skillet, about 3½ cups volume).

- Top the melted chocolate with halved marshmallows.

- Turn on your oven's broiler. Place the dip under the broiler and broil until the marshmallows are toasted and golden brown. This will happen fast, so keep a close eye on it. Serve immediately with graham crackers, cookies and/or fruit.
