Ingredients
You only need three ingredients for this recipe:
- Freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Sugar
- Water
Preparation (two options)
Traditional method: Make a simple syrup by bringing water and sugar to a boil on the stovetop. Cool the syrup, then combine with water and lemon juice.
Blender method: Place sugar, lemon juice, and water in a blender and blend until the sugar is dissolved (several seconds). Add to a pitcher with the remaining water.
FAQs
Depending on the size of your lemons you can get anywhere from 2 tablespoons to ¼ cup of juice from each lemon.
Cut the lemon in half (through the middle). Use a handheld juicer or citrus reamer to extract the juice into a liquid measuring cup. Alternatively, you can just squeeze the halved lemon or use the beater from a handheld mixer to manually extract the juice.
This lemonade stays fresh in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
